Vineyards harbour diverse microbial communities that play important roles in grapevine health and wine production. However, understanding microbial diversity is only the beginning. This seminar will explore how environmental factors and microbial interactions shape vineyard microbial communities and influence their functions. Particular attention will be given to the ecological roles of grapevine-associated microorganisms and their potential applications in sustainable viticulture, biological control, and wine fermentation.
