Why did you choose Division of Biological Science at NAIST?
I choose the Division of Biological Science at NAIST because of its strong research environment and experienced professors. I also want to study in a place that focuses on high-level research and innovation. The professors are experts in their fields, and the facilities are very advanced. NAIST also very welcome for International Students and offers a supportive environment to improve both my research and communication skills.
What do you like about Division of Biological Science at NAIST?
The Division of Biological Science at NAIST has strong focus on research and supportive atmosphere. I also appreciate the chance to work closely with professors and other students on interesting scientific projects. The facilities are very advanced, the labs are very well-organized which helps me to do my best in research.
How is the atmosphere in your lab?
I really enjoy the atmosphere in my lab. The lab members are very helpful. My professors and seniors are very supportive. It feels like good place to grow every day. However I also feel that productivity is highly emphasized here, so we are expected to work quickly and efficiently. It can be challenging sometimes, but it pushes me to stay focused and manage my time better.
What is your goals for the future？
In the future, I hope to become a researcher who can contribute to cancer studies, especially by understanding the molecular mechanisms behind it. I want to keep learning and growing, and eventually work in a place where I can do meaningful research and help others through science.
What are your recommended around NAIST？（shops, fun places, highlifhts）
For relaxing and exercise, there's a peaceful jogging track and small pond. For short holiday, you can visit Nara park and saw the famous deer and historical temples. During the right season, you can also enjoy Strawberry Picking in Nara. For shopping and daily needs, AEON Mall and Yaohiko Supermarket are both convenient. One of the best things about living in NAIST, it's also close to Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe. So it's easy to travel and enjoy city life, sightseeing, food and culture.
What are your tips for enjoying life at NAIST?
To enjoy life at NAIST, try to balance your research with personal time. Connect with others, join activities and explore nearby places like Nara, Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe. Also find a small daily routine that makes you happy. Staying positive and open-minded makes life at NAIST more meaningful and enjoyable.
How comfortable is the dormitory？If you are not a dormitory student, please tell us about your commute.
The dormitory at NAIST is comfortable and convenient. The rooms are private and well-equipped. And it's easy to access the campus. It's a good place to live, especially for new students. I makes daily life easier, especially when I first arrived in Japan.
Tell us about something you think that only you have experienced.
When I have a lot of tasks or feel overwhelmed, I need to walk/run at least 2 kilometers to refresh my energy and motivation. Besides that, eating ice cream and chocolate is a must to keep myself balance and happy!
