| Detail | The Shah Lab studies virus-host interactions using quantitative systems biology approaches. In this seminar, we travel from large-scale protein interaction networks to amino acid resolution to unravel molecular mechanisms of viral replication and disease. We discuss how a single protein interaction between Zika virus non-structural protein 4A (NS4A) and human Ankyrin repeat LEM domain containing 2 (ANKLE2) facilitates virus replication and neuropathogenesis, and our efforts to uncouple the two.
