Bio International Student Workshop
Targeting second-year doctoral (D2) students in the Division of Bioscience, this program develops the communication skills needed to succeed internationally through student-to-student exchanges with peers from the University of California, Davis (UC Davis) and the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
In this program, graduate students from the United States and China not only present their research to one another, but also learn to recognize both the differences and commonalities in research practices, perspectives on the future, and career paths in each country, to foster friendship and international awareness.
When held on site, mixed groups of four to seven students from Japan, the United States, and China share rooms, live together, and, in principle, communicate in English throughout the one-week program.
※By completing this course, a credit of "Seminar for International Workshop Plannning" can be obtained.
