The students in the second year of a doctoral program deliver presentations about their research in English.

Bio International Student Workshop
The students deliver and discuss their research together with students from overseas.
UCD Retreat (on a irregular basis)
This retreat is organized by UC Davis and is open to two exemplary D3 students.
UCD Online Seminar
This is an online journal club conducted between NAIST and UC Davis. Graduate students participate in the seminar remotely along with their counterparts at UC Davis. The participants discuss research papers in turn.
