Abstract Submission

Importance

Before any kinds of abstract submissions, the registration should be completed.
One person can submit only ONE abstract.

Important Dates

Please be aware that all dates are in Japanese local time.

  • Abstract Submission Deadline (Consideration for Oral Presentation):
    • June 30, 2011 11:59 PM
  • Poster Abstract Submission Deadline (included in Abstract Book):
    • July 31, 2011 11:59 PM
  • Poster Abstract Submission Deadline (board display only):
    • August 31, 2011 11:59 PM

How to Submit an Abstract

  • To submit your abstract, Inquiry No. is required. When you have completed your ID apllication, you will receive the confirmation e-mail from the Registration office. When you login the "My Page" by entering your Log-in ID and Password, you can find your Inquiry No. in the Log-in Information at the upper left of the page. [Inquiry No.]

  • An abstract must be submitted as an attachment file in MS Word (.doc/.docx) format via e-mail [send to cwb2011@bs.naist.jp]. Please use a template provided. (Microsoft Office Word file [Abstract temp file])


    E-mail format:

    1. The subject of e-mail should be Abstract submission No.[XXXXXX]. For No.[XXXXXX], please write down your Inquiry No.

    2. In the main text, the following information is required.

    • Inquiry No.
    • Name of presenter
    • Presentation style (Oral / Oral and Poster / Poster)
    • Session No. (choose Session No. from sessions mentioned below)
    • 1. Cell Wall Biosynthesis
    • 1a. Cellulose
    • 1b. Matrix Polysaccharides
    • 1c. Pectin
    • 1d. Phenolic Compound
    • 1e. Other Cell Wall Components

    *NOTE*
    You can choose the presentation style from three options. In the case you request for consideration for an Oral presentation, the abstract submission should be completed by June 30, 2011 11:59 PM. Please be reminded that we may not be able to grant your request for Oral presentation, because of the limited conference schedule. If you are not selected for the Oral presentation, you will have the Poster presentation. The Organizing Committee will send an e-mail notification to those selected for the Oral presentation by July 31.


    Abstract file format:

    Please use a template provided.
    (Microsoft Office Word file [Abstract temp file])

    • 1. The title of abstract file is "Inquiry No.".
    • 2. The abstract file should be in MS Word file (.doc/.docx).
    • 3. The manuscript should be arranged in the following order; title, authors, institutions, and abstract text.
    • 4. Authors are followed by superscripts Arabic numeral that corresponds with the institutions, and the presenter is indicated with underline.
    • 5. Abstract length is limited to 240 words (except title, authors, and institutions).
    • 6. Only text is allowed; tables, figures or any other graphics are not accepted.

    • Confirmation of Submission

    After the successful submission of your abstract, you will receive the confirmation e-mail from CWB2011 secretariat within 2 days.
